Dr. Marc Pope

Dr. Pope was awarded the Medical Alumni Gold medal for the highest standing in his medical class at The University of Western Ontario. He completed a five-year residency in General Surgery followed by a two-year fellowship in Vascular Surgery at The University of Toronto, obtaining his General Surgery Certificate and a Certificate of Special Competence in Vascular Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. During his surgical training, he also completed the Surgical Scientist Program and obtained a Master of Science Degree from the University of Toronto. He trained in endovascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and in advanced aortic endovascular surgery in Lille, France. He joined Trillium Health Partners in 2000 and is the current Chief of the Vascular Surgery division. He is certified as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and he is the Medical Director of the accredited Vascular Laboratory at Trillium Health Centre. He is an active fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and he is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario to practise vascular surgery in Ontario. He is a member of the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery, The Society for Vascular Surgery, The Cardiac Care Network of Ontario Vascular Working Group and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
